Meet the Founder

Student-Led Financial Education With a Community Mission

Hi! I'm Madison McKellar. I live in Kirkland, Washington, and I'm an incoming 11th grade student at Bishop Blanchet High School.

I created Bright Future Finance because I believe financial literacy is an important life skill that should be introduced at an early age. My goal is to help younger students build confidence with money through fun, engaging lessons that make saving, spending, budgeting, and smart decision- making approachable and enjoyable.

Outside of school, I work part-time at MyICON, a local financial planning firm, where I've had the opportunity to learn more about personal finance and the impact financial education can have on people's lives.

Through tutoring, volunteering, and working with younger students, I've discovered how much I enjoy helping children learn new skills in a supportive environment.

Bright Future Finance combines my interests in finance, education, entrepreneurship, and community service. My hope is that every child leaves class feeling more confident, curious, and excited about managing money in the future.

Why I Started Bright Future Finance

I wanted to create a program where younger students could learn practical money skills in a way that feels fun, supportive, interactive, and easy to understand.

Financial literacy isn't always taught at a young age, but I believe developing healthy money habits early can make a lasting impact.
